Our story
DreamBank South Africa (DBSA) was founded by Talia Pimstone, a Canadian university student with deep family roots in South Africa. Having grown up spending time in both countries, each of which shaped her in different ways, Talia recognized that girls in Canada and South Africa have unique perspectives, experiences, and strengths to share. She envisioned a program that could bring them together and create meaningful opportunities for connection and mutual growth.
Rather than operating as a one-sided mentorship program, DreamBank is founded on the belief that each girl brings something valuable to the relationship. By creating a safe and welcoming space for participants to open up, support one another, and share their experiences, DBSA builds a global sisterhood rooted in meaningful friendship, cultural exchange, and mutual encouragement.
